Treasures left behind...
The richest place on earth, to me, is the cemetery.
Filled with untold stories, never shared knowledge, paintings not complete, books never published, inventions not made, songs not written and love not given.
A mere whisper in the echoes of time itself can reverberate forever the knowledge, wisdom and understanding of one and create a symphony of such sweet harmonies when
shared with others whose input makes it even more beautiful.
This page is for the sharing, from varying sources, information to help make our lives just that little bit richer for knowledge received and experiences shared.
So glad you made it here.
Growing with community
one blog at a time...
Every blog shared here has a purpose — to inform, engage, reflect and encourage
Below is a brief explanation of each blog category — to help you find what you’re looking for.
Community stories
There are people who pass through This That & Those — locals, visitors, and contributors — who leave the place a little richer
simply by being who they are and doing what they do.
This space is here to share some of those stories.
Not as grand features, but as moments. Conversations. Contributions. The kind of things that build a community quietly over time.
These are the people who help make this place what it is.
Events and Gatherings
This That & Those runs events and gatherings at a place affectionately known as “The Mansion.”
Not a mansion because it’s grand in the traditional sense, but because of where we started — and what it has become. From a garage at home, to old
meat inspectors’ quarters turned residence, turned This, That & Those as you see it today.
We do some pretty awesome things here, and get to share them with the community — or maybe the community shares them with us.
This space is where we share the events and gatherings that happen here. From live music and workshops to parties and community BBQs,
these are moments where people come together, connect, and contribute in their own way.
We look forward to sharing what happened — the way we saw it.
Skills that make a difference
Creativity takes many forms, and often the smallest techniques or insights can make the biggest difference.
This space is for sharing skills and processes—both my own and those of others—along with practical tips, ideas, and small gems that help bring things to life.
Whether you’re learning something new, refining what you already do, or reaffirming current practice there is always something to take away.
Reflections
Over the years there have been many lessons — some learned the easy way, many not.
This space is for sharing reflections from that journey. Thoughts on growth, meaning, impact and the things that shape how we live and work.
Not as answers. Simply as considerations.
If something here leaves you thinking a little differently, or confirms what you already know, it has done its job.
Your part in this
Your input into what we share with the community is valuable. There are a number of reasons you may want to get in touch:
~ To tell us about someone in the community whose story will be an asset.
~ To share your experience at an event or gathering.
~ To share a skill or someone else has that would be an asset to share.
Thank you in advance for helping make This That & Those the best it can be.
